Growing up my father was an avid reader and investor.  For any special occasion he would give me a finance or investment related book with notes about the subject matter or the author.  He would always say “One day, this information will help you in life”.  Well, that was the start of my passion and interest in finance, economics, capital markets, and everything I do for my clients today.  With over 20 years of experience, I am dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial objectives through tailored, goal specific, wealth management strategies.  My mission is to provide every client with an objective and comprehensive investment plan, utilizing the vast resources available at our firm.        

Background and experience

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in April of 2009, I spent 7 years with Banc of America Investment Services.  In 2019, I was appointed the title of Private Wealth Financial Advisor, focusing my practice on helping sophisticated clients who have unique financial needs that often span generations. 

I have been recognized as a Platinum Council Advisor within Wells Fargo Advisors each year for 2012-2024. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held be a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients.

My educational experience includes earning my bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Alabama.  I hold financial securities registrations Series 7 & Series 63.

Away from the office

My wife and I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and have three children. Active in the community, I volunteer for our local church and neighborhood organizations. I also enjoy coaching my children’s sports teams, playing tennis, golf and hunting.

What led me to my current position as a Private Wealth Financial Advisor: 

From an early age, I became fascinated with financial concepts as I began saving and investing money earned working on my grandfather’s farm.  I discovered the power of compounding interest, and knew I wanted to pursue a career in finance.  I later found a love of Finance and Economics while attending the University of Georgia and have always had a passion for solving unique and complex equations.  Combining this interest with everchanging financial markets, I found my calling.  Crafting financial advice for others helped my passion find purpose, as I find it extremely rewarding to help others achieve their major life goals.

My educational background includes earning my bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business.  Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in April of 2009, I spent 7 years at Banc of America Investment Services.  In 2019 I was appointed the title of Private Wealth Financial Advisor, focusing my practice on helping clients who have unique and sophisticated financial needs that often span generations.

I have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM certification from the College for Financial Planning. To earn this certification, I completed hundreds of hours of rigorous financial planning courses and examinations. These courses were then followed by a 10-hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. 

I hold the following FINRA securities registrations:  Series 7 & Series 63.

Away from the office

My wife Keri is a practicing attorney in the Atlanta area, and the current President of our high school PTSO.  Keri and I were blessed with 4 children and spend non-working hours at baseball field, the golf course, beach volleyball tournaments, and sporting clay shooting competitions - watching the kids do what they love!  I enjoy playing golf, coaching and supporting my kid's athletic pursuits, and enjoying the outdoors.   

With over 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, my role on the team is performing portfolio analytics, performance reporting, client segmentation, and coordination of special team projects.  I spend time each day monitoring and managing the trading execution across our 7 Fundamental Choice, discretionarily managed portfolios.    

My educational background includes earning my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from LaGrange College and my MBA from Shorter University.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in Feb of 2016, I worked at Credit Suisse from 2004-2016.  

I hold the following FINRA securities registrations:  Series 7, Series 66, and Series 63.

With over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry, I coordinate and monitor the execution of all business operations for Pivot Private Wealth.  My responsibilities include the opening of all client accounts, onboarding new clients, funds and securities movement, securities trading on behalf of the team, client philanthropic gifts, resolving client inquiries, account administration, and helping to deliver an amazing client experience. 

My educational background includes earning my degree from Georgia College & State University before beginning my career at E*TRADE in 2011.  After spending 6 years building my financial services experience, I joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2017.
